Fishermen use dugout canoes to set their nets for catching fish. These fish are sold to hotels and restaurants in town, some are taken to Kigali, and some are smoked by women on the shores for local consumption. You can take a boat ride in the traditional dugout canoes, listen to the fishermen’s stories and even join in the fishing.
